Pro Requirements

This page covers Pro-specific requirements and considerations. For general system requirements applicable to both free and Pro versions, see the System Requirements page.

Pro-Specific Requirements

License Requirements

Valid License Key:

  • Active WPBits Pro license
  • License must match your domain
  • One license per site (unless multisite license)

License Types:

  • Single Site: 1 domain
  • 5 Sites: Up to 5 domains
  • Unlimited: Unlimited domains

Upload Limits

Section titled “Upload Limits”

Pro plugin ZIP file is larger than free version:

  • Requires upload_max_filesize of at least 10MB
  • Recommended: 64MB for smooth uploads

Server Resources

Section titled “Server Resources”

Pro features require more resources:

  • Memory: 256MB minimum (512MB recommended)
  • Execution Time: 300 seconds for complex operations
  • Database: Optimized for better performance

Pro Widget Requirements

Grid Master / Carousel Master

Additional Requirements:

  • Adequate memory for large post queries
  • Object caching recommended for performance
  • CDN recommended for image-heavy grids

Optimal Configuration:

WooCommerce Widgets

Required:

  • WooCommerce 4.0+ installed and activated
  • Products with featured images
  • Proper product data (price, stock, etc.)

Recommended:

  • WooCommerce 6.0+ for best compatibility
  • Product image optimization
  • WooCommerce caching

Theme Builder

Requirements:

  • Elementor Pro (for full theme builder features)
  • Theme that supports Elementor theme builder
  • Proper template hierarchy understanding

Recommended Themes:

  • Hello Elementor
  • Astra
  • GeneratePress
  • OceanWP

Multisite Considerations

Network Activation

Requirements:

  • WordPress Multisite setup
  • Multisite license from WPBits
  • Network admin access

Configuration:

  • Activate network-wide or per-site
  • License activation per subsite
  • Shared settings across network (optional)

Subdomain vs Subdirectory

Section titled “Subdomain vs Subdirectory”

Both are supported:

  • Subdomain: site1.example.com
  • Subdirectory: example.com/site1

Each counts as separate site for licensing.

Advanced Features

Custom Post Types

Section titled “Custom Post Types”

Requirements:

  • Custom post types properly registered
  • Post type supports featured images (if using in grids)
  • Proper capabilities set

Custom Fields

Compatible With:

  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF)
  • Meta Box
  • Pods
  • Toolset

Requirements:

  • Field groups properly configured
  • Fields assigned to correct post types
  • Proper field permissions

Dynamic Content

Requirements:

  • Elementor Pro for dynamic tags
  • Proper data structure
  • Understanding of dynamic content concepts

License Activation

Domain Requirements

Accepted Domains:

  • Primary domain: example.com
  • www subdomain: www.example.com
  • Staging: staging.example.com (with staging license)

Not Accepted:

  • Localhost (use development license)
  • IP addresses
  • Temporary domains

Activation Limits

License Limits:

  • Single: 1 active domain
  • 5 Sites: 5 active domains
  • Unlimited: No limit

Deactivation:

  • Deactivate from old site before activating on new site
  • Manage activations from WPBits account
  • Contact support if unable to deactivate

Development & Staging

Development License

Free Development License:

  • Use on localhost
  • Use on development domains (.local, .dev, .test)
  • No production use

Request Development License:

  1. Log into WPBits account
  2. Request development license
  3. Use separate key for development

Staging Sites

Staging Considerations:

  • Staging sites count toward license limit
  • Use staging-specific license if available
  • Deactivate before pushing to production

Performance Requirements

Minimum:

  • VPS hosting with 2GB RAM
  • SSD storage
  • PHP 8.0+

Recommended:

  • Managed WordPress hosting
  • 4GB+ RAM
  • Redis/Memcached
  • CDN integration

Best:

  • Dedicated server or high-tier managed hosting
  • 8GB+ RAM
  • Advanced caching
  • Global CDN
