Activating the License

After installing the Pro version, you need to activate your license to unlock all premium features. This guide explains the license activation process.

License activation is required in these scenarios:

  • New Installation: First time installing Pro on a site
  • Domain Migration: Moving your site from staging to production
  • Site Transfer: Relocating your site to a different domain
  • Hosting Change: Moving to a different hosting provider
  • Fresh Installation: Reinstalling WordPress or the plugin
  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to PluginsInstalled Plugins
  3. Find “WPBits Addons for Elementor Pro” in the list
  4. Look for the “Activate License” link below the plugin name

License Activation Link Location

  1. Click the “Activate License” link
  2. You’ll be redirected to the license activation page
  3. Enter your license key in the provided field
  4. Click the Activate button

After clicking Activate:

  1. Wait for the confirmation message
  2. Verify that the status shows “Active”
  3. Check that Pro features are now available in Elementor

Your license key is included in the “Thanks for upgrading” email sent after purchase.

  1. Check your spam/junk folder
  2. Log in to your WPBits account at wpbits.net
  3. Navigate to your account dashboard
  4. Find your license key under “My Licenses” or “Downloads”

If you didn’t receive the activation email:

  1. Check the email address used during purchase
  2. Wait 10-15 minutes (emails may be delayed)
  3. Contact support with your purchase details

To view your license status:

  1. Go to WPBits AFE menu in WordPress
  2. Click on License or Settings
  3. View current license status and expiration date

To move your license to a different site:

  1. Deactivate the license on the current site
  2. Activate it on the new site
  3. Each license has a maximum number of activations based on your plan

Annual License:

  • Valid for 1 year from purchase date
  • Includes updates and support during the active period
  • Must be renewed yearly for continued updates

Lifetime License:

  • No expiration date
  • Lifetime updates and support
  • One-time payment

Error: “License key is invalid”

  • Verify you copied the entire key correctly
  • Check for extra spaces before or after the key
  • Ensure you’re using the Pro license key, not an order number

Error: “Maximum activations reached”

  • Deactivate the license on unused sites
  • Upgrade to a higher license tier
  • Contact support to review your activations

Error: “License has expired”

  • Renew your annual license
  • Or upgrade to a lifetime license

If Pro features aren’t working after activation:

  1. Clear your WordPress cache
  2. Clear your browser cache
  3. Deactivate and reactivate the plugin
  4. Try activating the license again
  5. Contact support if the issue persists

When moving your site:

  1. Export your site from staging
  2. Import to production domain
  3. Deactivate license on staging (if still accessible)
  4. Activate license on production domain

If you have a multi-site license:

  • Activate on each site individually
  • Use the same license key for all sites
  • Track your activations through your account dashboard
  • Maximum sites depend on your license tier (5-site, unlimited, etc.)
  1. You’ll receive renewal reminders via email
  2. Log in to your account to renew
  3. After renewal, license remains active automatically
  4. No need to reactivate on your sites
  • Plugin continues to work with current version
  • No access to updates or new features
  • Support tickets won’t be processed
  • Security updates won’t be received

  4. Browse Pro templates in the Template Library
