Installing the Pro Version

After purchasing WPBits Pro, follow these steps to install and activate the premium features on your WordPress site.

Before installing the Pro version:

  • WordPress site with admin access
  • Free version of WPBits Addons installed (optional but recommended)
  • Purchase confirmation email from WPBits
  1. Check your email inbox for the “Thanks for upgrading” email from WPBits
  2. Click the account activation link in the email
  3. Set up your password if this is your first WPBits purchase
  4. Log in to your WPBits account
  1. After logging in, navigate to your account dashboard
  2. Locate the “Download the latest Pro version” link
  3. Click the link to download the plugin ZIP file
  4. Save the ZIP file to your computer
  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard
  2. Navigate to PluginsAdd New
  3. Click the Upload Plugin button at the top of the page
  4. Click Choose File and select the WPBits Pro ZIP file
  5. Click Install Now
  6. Wait for the installation to complete
  7. Click Activate Plugin

After activation, verify that the Pro version is installed correctly:

  1. Go to PluginsInstalled Plugins
  2. Look for “WPBits Addons for Elementor Pro”
  3. Check that the plugin status shows as Active
  4. You should see an “Activate License” link below the plugin name

After installing the Pro version, you need to activate your license to unlock all Pro features:

If you have a multi-site license:

  1. Repeat the installation process on each site
  2. Use the same license key for all sites (up to your license limit)
  3. Activate the license on each site individually

To update the Pro version:

  1. Download the latest version from your account dashboard
  2. Deactivate the current Pro plugin
  3. Delete the old Pro plugin
  4. Install the new version following the steps above
  5. Reactivate your license

Error: “Destination folder already exists”

  • Deactivate and delete the old version first
  • Try installing again

Error: “The package could not be installed”

  • Check that the ZIP file is not corrupted
  • Re-download the ZIP file from your account
  • Ensure your hosting allows ZIP uploads

If the ZIP file exceeds your upload limit:

  1. Contact your hosting provider to increase the limit
  2. Or install via FTP:
    • Extract the ZIP file on your computer
    • Upload the extracted folder to /wp-content/plugins/
    • Activate via the Plugins page in WordPress

If the plugin doesn’t appear after installation:

  1. Check the /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP
  2. Verify the plugin files were uploaded correctly
  3. Clear your browser cache
  4. Try deactivating and reactivating the plugin

Ensure your server meets the minimum requirements:

  • PHP: 7.0 or higher (7.4+ recommended)
  • Memory: 128MB minimum (256MB recommended)
  • WordPress: Latest version recommended
  • Elementor: Latest version required
