Import/Export

WPBits Block Studio allows you to import and export blocks as ZIP files. This is useful for transferring blocks between WPBits Block Studio installations or creating standalone plugins.

Export

Export as ZIP

Export blocks to transfer between WPBits Block Studio installations:

1. Go to WPBits Block Studio in your WordPress admin
2. Find the block you want to export
3. Click Export
4. Select ZIP as destination
5. A ZIP file will be downloaded

Export as Plugin (Pro)

With WPBits Block Studio Pro, export blocks as standalone WordPress plugins.

1. Go to WPBits Block Studio in your WordPress admin
2. Find the block you want to export
3. Click Export
4. Select Export as Plugin
5. Configure plugin details and click Export

Import

Import a Block

Import previously exported blocks:

1. Go to WPBits Block Studio → Settings → Import / Export
2. Click Select ZIP file
3. Choose the block ZIP file
4. Click Import Block

Import Options

Option	Description
New block	Import as a new block
Update existing	Replace an existing block

Importing Between Installations

To move a block from one WPBits Block Studio site to another:

1. On the source site, export the block as ZIP
2. On the destination site, go to WPBits Block Studio → Settings → Import / Export
3. Upload the ZIP file
4. The block appears in your dashboard

Troubleshooting

Import Fails

1. Verify the ZIP is a valid WPBits Block Studio export
2. Check for conflicts with existing blocks
3. Make sure the destination is writable

Export Fails

1. Check file permissions
2. Verify disk space is available
3. Try downloading again
